Purpose of this site:

Besides the fact I just like playing around on the web, I am trying to make a site that will help others build a Ultima canam. There are a few other build sites out there, but the more information about these cars the better. I am going to try to take pictures and document every step of the build process. I am also going to try and keep a detailed list of all costs involved with the build. Hopefully this information will allow other to know what they are getting into and help them decided if a Ultima is right for them. I hope you enjoy the site. About Me:

My name is Mark and I am 25 years old. (has of 2002). I work for the government as a Internet systems developer, pretty much your average computer dork. I have been obsessed with modifying cars since I turned 16, its way beyond a hobbie, it's more of a disease. After finishing the 3 year rebuild of my rx7 (10/31/99-09/5/02), I decided I needed another project. I had been in love with the Ultima for years after seeing it in road & track, but at a price tag of 135K it was just a dream. I periodically checked the factory site for new developments and when I saw that it was available in kit form, I couldn't help myself I had to order one. Long story short I sold the rx7 and ordered an Ultima.
